ColdHubs Limited have launched 4 new hubs out of 8 planned, in 4 states in South-Western Nigeria. The new cold rooms were deployed with support from Heifer International.
Chief Executive Officer, Nnaemeka Ikegwuonu said that beyond building more hubs, he is happy that the latest technology of the company has finally been unveiled.
“This will be the beginning of something new for us”, Nnaemeka said, talking about the unveiling of four new ColdHubs 2.0 with phase change materials and one-off loading of 3tons of food, in Sha-Sha Market Ado Ekiti - Ekiti State; Sha-Sha Market Akure - Ondo State; Sabo Market, Ore - Ondo State and Oja Tun-Tun Market Ife Osun State.

Nnaemeka also revealed that more of the ColdHubs 2.0 will be unveiled in Abeokuta - Ogun State, Ibadan, Oyo State and Ibeju Lekki, Lagos, as well as others in Zaria, Kaduna State and Jos, Plateau State.
ColdHubs 2.0 is a revolutionary and patented cold technology using thermal storage in contrast to the ColdHubs 1.0 which has energy storage in batteries.
The technology is more sophisticated than the previous version according to Nnaemka who said the development corresponds with the repositioning of the company as a full cold chain company.
