The year 2022 has been very impactful and successful for ColdHubs Limited as it moved from start-up to a development stage.
ColdHubs has increased its pace in the reduction of post-harvest losses and further improving food security in Nigeria.
As a leading cold chain industry in Africa, ColdHubs is presently servicing 6,371 farmers and traders, with 58 Cold Rooms built in 28 states in Nigeria.
ColdHubs Logistics which kicked off in June 2022 so far has 2 trucks which have completed more than 100 trips since inception.
By using solar energy and avoiding fossil fuel, ColdHubs was able to prevent the release of 2,466,816 Kg of carbon dioxide. This is an example of using an environment friendly innovation to save food.
Also in 2022 while serving more than 6000 farmers and traders, ColdHubs was able to save 418,743kg of food in their facilities.
Beyond scaling their workforce in 2022 for greater impact, the company was also able to create more than 80 jobs for women who are working as hub operators and line managers.
Standing on the 2021 achievements, ColdHubs made outstanding impacts in 2022, a strategy they look to replicate as they commission more new generation hubs in Western Nigeria.
ColdHubs is also exploring more digital solutions in 2023, as they hope to achieve data-driven smart operations.
