ColdHubs Limited has announced the successful closure of its USAID, Feed the Future, Partnering for Innovation project support.
The project saw ColdHubs deploy 20 new cold rooms in 10 outdoor food markets, farm clusters, and produce aggregation centers, between 2019 and 2021.
The project which was implemented through Fintrac, expanded ColdHubs unique pay-as-you-go business model, allowing smallholder farmers, retailers and wholesalers, access to cold storage at an affordable price.
Mr. Nnaemeka Ikegwuonu, the CEO of ColdHubs said that he cannot thank USAID enough for the opportunity, adding that it has been a time of both growth and impact.
Mr. Ikegwuonu said that beyond food preservation, the project was a job creation platform for the women working in all the 20 hubs as well as another platform for them to showcase the efficacy of their technology to the world.
“Everything starts gradually when one person believes in you, it opens the door for another and another”
“We cannot thank the entire USAID team enough for this wonderful opportunity and all we want to assure them is that we will keep making great impacts with the foundation that has been laid here”, he said.
