Traders Call For More Cold Rooms At Relief Market Owerri

Fruits and vegetables traders in Owerri have called for the installation of extra ColdHub facilities at the Relief Market, Owerri, Imo State.

The chairman of the traders' union, Evang. Godwin Onwuliri, commended the activities and impact of ColdHuns in the market and country at large.

"I can vividly say that the innovations of this cold room have improved our business and increased our profit."

"In the past years, we purchased our goods two to three times a week, but this time we buy in bulk and store it in the cold room to resell bit by bit. We are already sure of having fresh produce after storage” Evang.Onwuliri said.

Onwuliri emphasized that for them to make sales and profits, their produce needs to be fresh, as it was harvested.

He opined that more ColdHubs facilities should be built in the market to accommodate more Fruits and vegetables traders who are delving into the business.

"Before, we used to have a few traders in this business, but today more traders are engaging, and the cold room is no longer enough for us to store our produce, especially for apple traders" he lamented.

Speaking further, Salam Umari, one of the traders in the market, commended the company's efforts towards keeping foods fresh.

He praised the Sales and Marketing team for their effectiveness in responding to their complaints and needs.
