The CEO and Founder of ColdHubs, Nnaemeka Ikegwuonu has said that the company is taking over the cold-chain industry in Nigeria.
With 54 operational cold storage facilities and another 14 under construction in various parts of the country, Nnaemeka said the company is doing everything in its power to cut post harvest loss in fruits, vegetables, meat, fish, milk and dairy products.
Speaking at the commissioning of Kuto Market Hub, the young CEO revealed that the company partners with market leaders in construction of the Hubs to suit their demands.
Having saved 52,700 tons of food in 2021, ColdHubs looks at making more impact especially with the addition of new hubs and refrigerated logistics trucks.
He hailed the impact of Heifer International whom he referred to as one of the oldest NGOs in the world.
Nnaemeka said that Heifer International is supporting the construction of 10 hubs across Nigeria, adding that 8 of them are of 3 ton capacity.
The hubs according to the CEO are located in Ogun, Ekiti,Osun, Plateau, Kaduna states.
With more refrigerated logistic trucks to complement the solar-powered cold rooms, ColdHubs has become an industry leader in the Cold Chain sector in Nigeria and African at large.
