Multinational technology company, Microsoft, through its Airband Initiative is extending a grant to ColdHubs to use its Hub’s excess generated and stored energy to power new internet kiosks known as F@rm & M@rket Connect Centers.
Using Microsoft TV White Spaces technology, the F@rm &M@rket Connect Centers, will be a Wifi hot spot, which will enable farmers, retailers and wholesalers of perishable food in farms and marketplaces, to get online and access agricultural training, resources to improve crop yields and marketing and digital skills training.
