As expected to kick off in the second generation ColdHub, the technical crew has kicked off ice production with the new sets of Hub 1.0 built across Nigeria.

One of the operational hubs with such capability is situated at Ibaka, Akwa Ibom State and also has the ability to blast freeze fish in less than an hour to a temperature of about -20oC.

The CEO of ColdHubs Limited, Nnaemeka Ikegwuonu who made the announcement said it is a great accomplishment, adding that so far the technical team is working around the features of the second generation ColdHubs in some of the first generation ones that are being built.

“We really want to be sure these things work and it won’t end here because we are still taking note of things we will be improving on when the ColdHub 2.0 is finally unveiled in December 2020” he said.

ColdHubs so far is building more hubs across Nigeria, hoping to bring the total number to 52 before the end of 2020.
